Cassandra Ventura nació el 26 de agosto de 1986 en New London. Su padre es de origen Filipino, y su madre es de origen afro americano y mexicano. Asistió a The Williams School, una preparatoria de New London. Perfeccionó su danza, y tomó clases de canto. Comenzó a modelar a los 14 años, y cuando tenia 16, apareció en los anuncios de "La revista Seventeen" y el popular catalogo de revistas para jóvenes Delia’s. La escuela en el 2004, decidió enfocar su carrera al modelaje y el canto. Se mudo a Nueva York y continuo modelando, en tanto tomaba clases en el Broadway Dance Center. Ella es representada por Wilhelmina Models y One Model Management en la ciudad de Nueva York. Junto a Ryan Leslie en 2004 escribieron un dueto llamado Kiss Me, y grabaron la pista, luego Leslie reprodujo la canción al ejecutivo musical Tommy Mottola.

Cassie Ventura was born on August 26, 1986 in New London, Connecticut. Her father is of Filipino descent, and her mother is of African-American, Indian, and Mexican descent. She attended The Williams School, a preparatory school in New London. She trained as a singer and dancer, and took voice lessons. Cassie began modeling at the age of 14, and by the time she was 16, appeared in print ads for Seventeen and the catalog for popular teen line, Delia's.In 2002, at age 15, she briefly appeared in R&B singer Mario "Just a Friend 2002" music video. When she graduated from high school in 2004, she decided to pursue her career in modeling and singing. After high school, Cassie moved to New York City, and continued modeling, as well as attending classes at the Broadway Dance Center. She is represented by Wilhelmina Models and One Management in New York City.

Ryan Leslie spotted her at clubs and parties in late 2002 frequently. The two wrote a duet called "Kiss Me", and after recording the track, Leslie played the song for music executive Tommy Mottola.
